The Plymouth Antiquarian Society is committed to developing its historic sites as educational resources. The Society’s original founders pioneered innovative methods of presenting local history to learners of all ages, with an emphasis on hands-on learning. This tradition endures today. The Society offers a range of group tours and educational programs for adults and children including field trips to historic sites, walking tours, lectures, and programs.
PLYMOUTH UNDERBELLY TOURS
Encounter Plymouth’s unexpected history on a guided Underbelly Tour through the old town center. History is more than dates and details – uncover the raw and real side of life in olden times on this 1 1/2 hour exploration. Our expert guides show you the strange but true side of Plymouth’s past, from murderous encounters to skunky schools and shape-shifting witches. Find out what the Pilgrims never wanted you to know!

STUDENTS & SCOUTS HANDS-ON HISTORY TOURS
Follow the footsteps of the Pilgrims along Town Brook and explore centuries of local history in America’s Hometown. A 30-minute walking tour leads your group to an authentic 17th century house, built by militia sergeant William Harlow in the wake of King Philip’s War. Visit the ancient Harlow homestead and engage in hands-on crafts and historic activities in our Education Center. Programs, including walking tour, run approximately 1 1/2 hours. Gift shop open. Restrooms available. Buildings at the historic site are not handicap accessible.
